The main focus of the company is to create exciting projects that suit the clients’ needs and have a lower impact on the environment and the earth’s finite resources. A successful project is far more often the result of a very creative design  and construction process, using space and materials wisely, than it is the result of a huge budget. The world has changed radically since I finished college in the late 1970’s, yet by and large we still build houses much the way we did in the 50’s. While part of the reason for this is that it is based on materials and methods that have worked well for centuries, innovation is slow to be embraced by the industry and many homeowners. There are many new and innovative products and methodologies around that deserve consideration.

If we are truly serious about cleaning up the messes we have made, we need to be willing to think outside the box alot more than we have in the past. At EcoArtisan Builders, we have working relationships with others in the construction and design fields who share the same goals. Many of these people are members of the U.S. Green Building Council, as are we.
